PeopleSoft’s technology is from the 1980’s which was developed by Dave Duffield. It’s been polished multiple times, but not upgraded to a great extend and it’s nearly 40 year old technology which is out dated.

Most probably by 2027 it will die and there will be no more career. If someone take over and revamp the entire software which suitable to present conditions like cloud computing and AI then there will be chances.
